Origami Shelter
First year studio project requiring to make a 1:50 scale model of an entrance between the New Law Building and Victoria Park. This entrance should provide shelter as well as a seating area for park users and students. This Canopy design is inspired from a form of origami called Miura-Ori. The folds create a tessellation which folds a piece of paper into a small area. With a variants of the technique, a roof structure can be made.
